passed inspection with downpipes
Hey guys, just wanted to confirm that you can pass inspection in MA with downpipes and a tune that will suppress your CEL... Went to a couple of different places and all told me that you are allowed to have 1 item as "not ready" with no codes and you will pass! I went to a random shop and passed. I have vrsf downpipes and OFT

Yup and in IL 2000 or older is 2 not ready. 95 and below in IL no emissions. I've got a bad cat in my dads x5 so ill pass emissions this way. I have a code reader.
My friends 600hp mustang won't even pass it at all. He just switches owners every 2 years lol Him his sister back and forth lol also its free since its family. |

@zero2sixtyZ please take note so we can get some VSRF DP to install on your car for beast mode!!
Also can confirm this works in NH inspection also. Passed with my dads 535xi with DP on Wedge's tune.

U can also flash your car with BB flash to suppress the cel as well as adding some decent power.

I would contact Wedge he can be reached at wedgeperformance@gmail.com Here is one review but they are really all over the place if you search. My dad is running it in his 535xi and soon I will be having him make me a custom map for my new turbos. I would suggest reading up on what his flash can do for you at min coding out the DP. Do some reading about what works, contact him and let me know so we can set up a time for you to borrow the cable if you want to go though route. Also you will have no problem passing inspection in NH with it. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15025947

I don't think anybody was saying that he does anything different then Bren, Terry, or PTF but he is also vastly cheaper aka yes Donations "Don't be cheap". As for the tables it's how they are modified and the smoothness of his flash and power under the curve that is gained that have people coming back for more. You can have his tune be as aggressive as you want, just like any other turner you pay out of pocket for. Also he is in contact with Terry all the time, and there is a reason everybody at the other forums runs his flash along side the JB4 even though terry has a flash for it. As for haveing your car in top running condition this is common sense to anybody that is going to be pushing more power. Even when I had OTS Cobb maps if your car is not in top shape the logs are going to look like crap, as did mine with bad plugs. If you want more current reviews that have logs, dynos ect head over to n54tech and do some searching there is plenty. I have nothing against the other turners, and i have heard great things from PTF, spoke to Bren at a few shows about tuning my car and we all know Terry's involvement. Ken aka Wedge is a extremely knowledgeable, proven his tuning capability, and turely loves this platform and helping out the community (Paved the way for the Aplina Flash). He spent hours with me on the 535 making sure everything was correct, changing a few settings responds to all my emails ect, that to me for somebody that is not even a vendor speaks for itself. I am just giving my first hand experience in dealing with Ken and how positive it was. As for coding out the CEL for the DP, if you had the BT cable you could even do this yourself within turner pro.

Im interested in just coding out the CEL from the downpipes. I'm very happy with the jb4 and the power i get out of it. I know i can auto clear the CEL for daily driving but i need a way to pass inspection in NH

Also if your car can run even smoother gain more useable power under the curve ect why pass it up. Considering u have to DL your bin anyway and modify it sounds like a no brainier. U have to figure that JB4 is only a piggyback altering a stock bin. Anyway still contact wedge he can assist u even with just coding out the cel. If u need to borrow a BT cable let me know.

Im pretty aware, but haven't seen any mention of changes to this threshold in mention. The streamed video and other things are out of scope.
