After over a year of delays over the summer I finally got the e93 bumpers professionally painted and the whole car put back together. The wife has really enjoyed "finally" driving it through these last few unusually warm days and the kids love riding in the back.
The rear bumper BSM paint match was nearly flawless and the front is only marred by the poor condition of the front fenders/hood due to the previous owners neglect. The clear coat was in such poor condition even after many hours of paint correction effort I’m not sure it will ever be perfect but it looks good in anything but harsh direct lighting up close and I haven't even gotten to the polish yet. Quick pictures… |

I do own smart top module, it provides not only one-touch function, but some other useful feature as well. |

The smart top is worth every penny. Roof up and down with extended range. Windows up n down. And whilst car is moving also etc. Expensive for what it is but resale of the smart top module is not far off the new price. Well worth it :-)

Key Fob Issues
My key fobs for my 2012 E93 convertible started acting strange. Need to get within 3 feet to lock the doors but have normal range when unlocking, most of the time. Took keys to dealer and tested fine. Could it be an antenna issue? Does anyone know where the key fob antenna is?
Thank you, |

I have a 2007 335i and have recently found the passenger side floor to be damp along with water ingress in the toll tray compartment in the boot. does anybody know the cause of these?. (apologies if this has been answered before but I cant seem to find anything)
Thanks in advance. |

Since there does not appear to be an E93-specific subforum (correct me if I'm wrong), I might as well post my question here.
I'm trying to diagnose a leak at the A pillar/ hardtop connection passenger side. I see the window when closing on that side squeeze the rubber channel pretty hard which distorts it a bit, I wonder if and how I can change the window closing position. Isn't there a way to reset these? From my E46, I seem to remember a "windows up keep button pushed for 10 s"-kinda thing, no? |

The antenna for the key fob is on the Rear Window or behind the corner pillar next to the rear window. The module sets a unique encryption key when the vehicle is locked that is saved to the car and to the key fob (I had read this somewhere on the forums before). I believe you can access it when the top is in the fold down process quite easily. I've noticed with my 2010 M3 Convertible that it used to do the same thing but over time it seems it stopped requiring me to be so close. I used to have to basically press the key against the back window. Try maybe holding the button down for a second?
