Here's my 11 335d, with 3" from turboback, egr race pipe, and custom tune 348whp-532wtq. These were in 4th. The lower one was a 3rd gear pull..

FWIW we tried doing a pull in 5th which is closest to 1:1 ratio and wtq peaked at 583. And we hit the tq limiter which is set to 750nm or 553wtq so we were unable to get a full pull in 5th. The thing is a beast in 5th hah

That is the dyno of the lastest version. He's sending me another update upping the torque limiter to 1000nm so I can do a dyno pull in 5th and adding a high idle for cold days

Yes. 3" straight through from turbo back, with race pipe, and tune

My down pipe was $450, full 3" custom exhaust with two resonators was $850, $120 for race pipe, and tune was $1000. My tune is with meth and tcu tune, but I haven't hooked up meth yet. Regular tune is less... $650 if I remember right

Very sollid numbers for a mustang dyno no less. Keep us updated on the raised tq limiter run.

Did you delete the swirl flaps? New to the car, sorry for new guy question.

Any merit to the race EGR pipe versus just a block?

...general consensus is to delete egr, nothing good comes of it

Hah I actually didn't delete the swirl flaps. I have them though... I was just too lazy to take them out when I did the race pipe.

As for the race pipe. I had both and the race pipe wins. Looks better, definitely feels more responsive, and leaves more space in engine bay for activities.

You're getting zero gains with a racepipe over a stock EGR that's been tuned out. Although I guess it's prettier to look at?

Okay you're certainly entitled to your opinion that has no information to back it up, but I disagree. The egr valve is a pretty big obstruction in the intake. Taking that out and replacing it with a straight through race pipe allows the air to flow through more smoothly. The gains are probably not much but I'd bet that the initial spool up happens quicker and peak boost it hit quicker too. I never said I gained 24whp I said I feels more responsive.

FWIW the smaller curve is 3rd with egr in place with block off plates, the higher curves were in 4th and with a race pipe. I don't think I picked up all 24whp and 33wtq just by being in 4th gear.

3rd gear vs 4th gear run will affect things as 3rd goes quicker, making the turbo boost control less stable through the range. The EMP will be higher also due to having less time to adjust.
The funny thing is that the first big turbo intake is a bit bigger than the diameter of egr valve with it closed, but the air going through the egr is 2x+ smaller due to density (compressed). So, actually more of the restriction is on the intake size.

Yes you're right. There's also more fuel load in 4th, 5th, 6th. I was saying that I didn't gain all that 24hp just by being in 4th I'm sure some of the gain was from the race pipe. I really didn't say that the race pipe gave any gains though, I just said it's more responsive lol.

Lots of information out there that shows no gain between a stock EGR and a EGR delete on tuned car. Don't you think if it actually made a difference more people would be running them? The last thing I've ever be convinced of is someone 'butt' dyno numbers or 'feel'. Placebo is a bitch.

Idc what you say. I got "gains" from my race pipe. My car feels more responsive. Show me evidence that it doesn't make a difference in response and I'll believe you lol :

Even if no measurable gains, not having an EGR and cooler removes points of failure.
