Really Novice Questions

This started out as only a mission to change my battery Ah. I replaced my battery with a lesser capacity (was 90ah, now is 80 ah). Have the Foxwell NT510 and could register a new battery, but, that tool won't change capacity or AGM<> flooded cell.

Thought I'd look into a relatively easy coding route so didn't want to go into INPA and all that seems to be involved. I'm just trying to fill in some of the gaps in the Foxwell tool functions.

Seems Rheingold ISTA+ is a good choice. Questions:

Is Rheingold standalone or does it need INPA or EDIABAS or anything else to work?

Can Rheingold be on a machine that has other unrelated software (ex MS Excel)?

I've found places to purchase Rheingold from $12 to $100+ or even free. What is the best safest way to get it?

I've posed these same questions in the 1er DIY in a thread about battery coding b/c that was my original interest in coding. I don't feel like spending all the money on Carly as I don't care much about coding features. I have Idrive and can do as much as I care to with that.

Thanks a lot for any advice. I know this is basic stuff for this subforum but I couldn't find my answers thru searching.
