2008 335xi: How do I raise the back end? Bilstein B6 and Dinan springs

Shocks / struts were blown out, decided to replace them with Bilstein B6s. Front end raised from 26.5 to 27, back end was at a 2 finger wheel gap, I know a very accurate description, and stayed there.

Did not like the front raised so much so replaced springs with Dinan -.5 front and 0/ no change in the back. Front settled at about 26.75 but the back end settled about .25 inch at first and now is probably down .5 inch lower. How do I raise the back end up a bit?

I know Dinan recommends Koni shocks.
I did not use the Dinan handling kit.

Bilsteins felt great alone, springs made it so much better but more aggressive/rougher, probably have 250 miles so far and still need an alignment.

Thanks

You may be able to use an adjustable spring perch but xi is suppose to have front rake

Did you install the spacers on top of the springs in the rear?

Thank you for this info. BC racing also sells perches for $100.

I have not even purchased parts yet, but it’s on the to do list.

Reason for wanting to raise is I decided not to lower the car to preserve ride quality and just want it back to stockish, 1/2 inch higher, since the front is pretty high.

So far love the new suspension set up and stiffer springs are a must. Hoping to find someone with coils and see what their ride quality is like for future reference.

Well perches are not going to work wth the Dinan springs, need to be flat. Who knows the spring rate? Lol

Can you throw an extra spring pad on the top or bottom of the springs? Some dense rubber about 0.25" thick (loaded) should get you about 0.5" ride height increase
