EC-APPS
Hello, I have read through the threads and can't seem to find an answer to my problem. I have everything installed and haven't had issue until trying to add the EC-APPS folder into the coding tool. I have triple checked to ensue all of the proper folder exists and I can not seem to find the issue. I had no trouble with the SP Daten, NCS expert, or Ediabas. For some reason the EC-APPS will not work. Any help would be appreciated

Make sure you have enough space on the disk you're unzipping them to. Or, make sure the file finished downloading, so that it's not just a partial file.

I’ve gotten all the way through up until step 15. When I go to open BMW Coding tool as admin I get “Component MSCOMCT.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. Not sure what to do at this point, someone said in an earlier post to register the ddl. But I’m not even sure what that means. Any insight would be appreciated as I have a manual swap on hold

Thank you! Yeah so I had to download those files separately and use 7zip to add them to my system32 file. I was missing 2 after that BMW Tool opened right up. Thank you!

Thanks for this awesome write up. I believe I have installed everything as per the guide.
I guess the next thing to figure out is how to actually use the program haha. |

I went through the whole install process twice, (using the windows add program to delete it in between) and have the same results. I installed V67 0 SP-Daten and used the BMW Coding Tool.exe to install them after installing the standard tools. I had my car updated a year ago, so I believe it requires v66, but I'm not clear if INPA uses the DATEN's.
When I run INPA, if I go into the E90 N52k engine and select IBS, I get the 3 info pages and its showing me battery numbers that are as expected. But if I try choosing the TPMS or transmission, I get errors. TMPS: Requested control unit: 'RDC_60/V3.x,RDC_CAN/V1.x,RDC_S3/V3.x,RDC_KBUS/V2.x' not found. Control unit not found: 'RDCKWP'. Program will be stopped! Automatic Transmission: Requested control unit: 'GS19/V1.06,GS19A/V3.01,GS19B/V4.001,GS19C/V0.010,GS19D/ V2.010' not found. Control unit found: 'GS1912'. Program will be stopped! Any suggestions what I screwed up? |

Go to the tools icon (in Ista)
under one of the tabs is the interface selection I think it's the last one. Third option down I would think . Icom/enet local networtk As far as your Ethernet cable goes you plug it in and it should find the driver . That is what happened the last time I used a usb to Ethernet adapter. clicking the comfort button changes the buttons to these options: F1 "identify ECU family", F2 "Choose Custom File", F3 "Update ECU", F8 "done".
The cable i am using seems to currently work with INPA and in the past i have used it for coding with Carly and a MHD tune. -Mike |

Identify ECU Family - This allows you to enter a ZUSB to see what ECU it's associated to. Update ECU - This allows you to update the module based on the last update available for that particular module. |
