Although I'm not planning to purchase navi in my 335i, I am very interested in being able to integrate an ipod. Does anyone have any opinions/reviews they would like to share on the sound quality, features and ease-of-use of thier ipod integration in a 335i w/o an idrive screen?

I'm pretty sure the 335i iPod setup will be the same as on the 2006 models. There is a ton of information already posted in this conference on the topic. Just do a quick search for "MOST ipod" and you'll find everything there is to know.

I have it installed in my 330i non-IDrive car and it works reasonably well. Searching is slow, if you have a large capacity iPod you will need to work with playlists. There are also some quirks with Random mode and retaining display settings. Do the search and you'll find everything.

Just imagine if your iPod had a one- or two-line display. That will give you an idea of how it will be. If you use the iPod a lot, you will regret not getting iDrive.

The iDrive controller does a fairly good job of allowing you to click through the tracks. You really don't have to take your eyes off the road since the onbord monitor is within the driver's field of vision.
