So far it's a lot better. I do have an issue though with S mode. I see in the notes it says shifts to 6th at 74mph (like Alpina). I can't get it to shift till about 80mph, no matter the conditions.

This the case for anyone else?
I find with my car I sometimes have to let off the gas a bit around 75 to get 6th gear to kick in.

flashed stage 3 yesterday. (previoisly had stage 2). and drovr around in traffic and got it pretty adapted to the new flash.

D mode is very smooth, no complaints at all.

S mode is noticeably faster, rev matching is quite nice.

M mode is lightning fast. but i get a little lurch forward if i downshift from 3->2 around 1800rpm or so. its not as bad as what other members are describing, but its definitely present.

Yeah that doesn't work for me. Although, once I hit 80 and it shifts, it does like to stay in 6th until somewhere in the 65mph range if I slow down.

6th gear in S will only engage on very light throttle. If you want 6th gear to engage earlier just use D mode. 6th gear is overdrive on those cars...for experienced driving it should never engage it normally. That's the reason BMW excluded 6th gear at all in S mode on the later flashes.

No since you were tuned on Alpina just keep it as is. Both have similar requested tq and will work great. That was said by xhp themselves.

Is the 1.3 m mode more aggressive than the v1.5. Imo the 1.5 isn't nowhere as aggressive. As for sport mode well I don't use it so that's irrelevant to me. So far v1.3 is the best in d mode and m mode. Also linear option, shifts way better for me vs the stock pedal map option. Also stock pedal maps are too aggressive at low load

D mode shifts way too soon, almost like it should be in a diesel. Bogs down way too much. No big deal, still have that custom xhp map with Alpina S mode that has perfect shift points still.

It says in notes it should shift at 74mph, but I can't get it to shift light throttle, even going downhill.

Same here. But I assumed that XHP is referencing the actual speed and not the offset built into the analog speedometer.

Mine shifts into 6th, but it doesn?t take much to kick it back into 5th at all. But I?ve figured out how to get back into 6th by being real light on the throttle.

I get this also in M mode, it is much better than the terrible lurch in v1.3 but is still there in v1.5, I have found I have to downshift 3>2 at like 1500 for it to behave and not lurch. V1.3 was so bad for me I had to give up on it, V1.5 I can live with it and learn to downshift a bit lower as everything else is very well done, would be nice to have it improved though.

Ok guys, I currently have MHD Stage 2+ FMIC installed and getting ready to install xHP today.

What would be the correct sequence to installing xHP?

Do I FIRST reflash MHD with the xHP option checked and then flash xHP?

Or do I first flash xHP THEN reflash MHD with the xHP option checked?

Thanks in advance!

Also would be nice to make a map with a true stock dmode, as the dmode in current maps doesn't downshift to the proper gear when slowing for a turn ect. Kinda bogs a little. Unnecessary strain on the engine imo. Are the xdf available for the stock iirc 7601492 flash?

The downshift points on coasting are stock. Please show a video what your issue is. Seems to be related to your specific setup.

Exactly what i was saying before....so thats a hand full of us who have noticed this. Ill do a video sometime this week. Its really annoying.

Also, for those of you who are tuned. I talked to my tunner trebila. I told him i was having hard shifts sometimes with my xhp. He then sent me another flash where he set the calculated torque values. Hard shift are gone so far.
