Shocks and springs
Just got H&R sport lowering springs fitted but am still running with OEM shocks, will need to get these swapped out for some aftermarket shocks that are better matched to the springs....
The car is a daily driver, no track time planned, firm ride is fine as long as its not bone jarring firm Q1/ What shocks would you recommend with the H&R sports??? Q2/ What coilovers / shock n spring sets are people running and would you fit them again??? Last edited by Socket; 12-02-2014 at 12:54 AM.. |

I've had Koni FSD in the past and they were good, but my brother put Koni Yellow in his falcon years ago and it firmed that car up a lot.
Basically anything aftermarket that is designed for lowered springs will feel better than worn OEM shocks. |

I've had experience with Bilstein B8s and now Koni Sport yellows on Eibach ProKit (probably the closest of that brand to the H&R sports). From my experience, I found the B8s just to harsh and jarring. I swapped them out for the Konis and they improved the ride quality significantly as I was able to dial in a good setting that gave me the balance I wanted between noticeable handling improvement with a firm but liveable ride quality for my road-only car.

What he said! That seems a good price and will perfectly suit your H&Rs. Just compare the final price (i.e. AFTER you add shipping) against ECS who has a full kit (same individual part #s) > http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335...ocks/ES518057/

Thanks guys, always good to check before parting with cash. ECS deal looks much better, quote for local supply was $1200 + fitting. Even with the low aussie dollar shipping cant be any more the $100 which mean I can save $300 for other bits
