Ha! :-)

This is still incredibly impressive. This might be the year a 335d gets into the 10's.

I also like the angle of the filming and watching the weight transfer to the rear wheels and the suspension squat. They did a good job on optimizing things for the launch.

1630kg. Sport front seats, lightened hood, this is the max that street class regulations allows. The rest of the interior in place. Meth, no nitrous. 485hp natural, 520hp with meth. Air temperature was 25-27 degrees celsius

Thanks. Do you have the location, direction and date/time (we could get density altitude from elevation, ambient pressure, humidity, temp... which is needed for a good comparison, along with verifying wind impact)? Also airstrips, in the US at least, can have more slope/grade than the NHRA tracks allow (+/- 1% or less for the NHRA to certify the track).

That's pretty insane, 10 second 335d. So Europe takes the title again?

Considering that 80% of all BMW diesels are not in the USA thats not surprising. We need to step up.

Great run for them! And another fast ProTurbo car :-)

But its not a fair comparison to an NHRA track, which has regulated min/max slopes to be a qualified track. Here is Google Earth elevation profile for that airport, and it appears they were racing down a grade that is beyond what is allowed by NHRA regulations, which must be within +/- 1% slope.

Depending on where the actual 1/4 mile took place the downhill slope is above 3% for a significant portion of the distance...

and based on the earths tectonic plates in that region in relation to the atmospheric pressure gradients I would agree with TDI.

Cool.

I wish there were sanctioned tracks in Europe. Any video?

That bmw e90 with 10.74 seconds done in 1/4mile has the whole front made out of fiber glass for less weight ( hood, front bumper, and front wheel arches ).

It's actually a 330d M57 with x-drive which has the twin turbocharger from the 335d. Results were achieved using diesel only, no meth, no nitrous, just diesel.

The driver is from Romania and the car is tuned by Complete Chip Romania. This company colaborates with xhp flash tool and have made a fantastic software for the gearbox.

The car pulls extremely brutal. Keep in mind the gearbox is stock, with no mechanical modifications, just the xhp software specially developed for this car.

216.6 kph is 134.5mph.

Hard to believe that was done without nitrous or meth. Previous post stated this car was running meth and it also said it was a full weight car with only a light hood due to class rule restrictions.

The problem is, there are too many variables in the portable track set ups often used in Europe, airstrip inconsistencies and a few contradicting posts where people post info without knowing all the facts or intentionally post misleading info to appear faster than it really is.

134.5 mph on diesel only is very hard to believe.

A full weight 335d making 515-520whp is 120-123mph car on an actual 1/4 mile. Not a 134mph car.

That's really cool.

Photos can be seen here. It's a fully gutted RACE car. Little fuel tank up front, fuel filter mounted on the intake, race seat, nitrous, open exhaust, no dash oh and no headlights.
