Thanks mate, appreciate the time and effort you put into this. No one else would have the attention to detail or patience to complete this build to the standard you have. Making sure everything is done just right and the results speak for themselves.. said it before and Ill say it again spcgry is as much your car as it is mine.. #thebromanceisreal hahahaha

Nice work here Socket! (and congrats on the 10,000 posts).

Was reading through the manual swap part of your thread with interest as I've done three manual swaps on older BMWs myself - initially an old e21, then two e30s - mine and then my Dad got one and we manual swapped that too. The removable radiator support & rear hinged bonnet is a luxury the classics don't have!

Mechanically it looks much the same - how difficult was the coding to switch from auto to manual?

Love the ghetto orange hammer from a couple of pages back - I've got one too (gotta love Bunnings). A 1.5kg mini-sledge also comes in very handy

Hey AD
Welcome to the forum
Job was a massive pinta tbh although it would have been even worse if the engine stayed in the car
Vince made up the harness and did the coding, but was not too difficult from what I can tell
Started up and ran without errors
The orange bunnings hammer has come in handy a few times, and makes a regular appearance throughout this thread

Hows the ride on 18"

I've been debating on going down in size for more meat on the tyres and for a more comfortable ride (e93).

Ripped off the CF roof wrap this arvo..... was starting to fade and look tired
Removing the wrap was ok, getting the adhesive off the roof duco was a massive pinta
4 hrs later all cleaned up and the roof is back to original
Now to get a spcgry bonnet back on
