Let the pressure stay in the car instead of throwing it out with the bov....thats why u loose power....

For me, i felt some lag with the lighter spring because the bov seemed to hang open for just a moment before closing and allowing boost to build.

And yes I agree... "let the pressure stay in the car" makes no sense at all since DVs route the air to a pre-compressor point in the intake.

Are you an AT or MT. If you are an AT having dvs or a BOV wouldn't mean anything as the throttle stay open through the shift, so diverting the air back into the intake will not help. Even with having an MT or turbos are too small to benefit from the boost being diverted back into the intake to help spool the liitle turbos so thats not an issue. Either you messed up the install and created a boost leak or you need a stronger spring in your bOV.

question regarding Stett charge pipe and tial bov, would the tial bov provided by stett need a diff spring, or is it suitable for 15-16 psi boost?

thats what i knew also so i replaced it w/o thinkin of loosin power.

i use Tial 50mm with pink spring -12 psi (-24in/Hg ) i think its the strongest spring.

I doubt the TIAL BOV is the problem considering Evolution Racewerks runs the same BOV on their car.

This makes no sense to a T-MAP engine like ours...To my confirmation let me tell you that I have just installed the brand new Synapse BOV kit (charge pipe + BOV) and the car runs fast like hell.

I never believed this would make such difference...and no I'm not a fanboy of BOV sound.
I will make a full preview on this later in a diffent thread but "blowing off"the air is not problem.

Why don't you just get a boost gauge and then report back. Anyone with a turbo vehicle modifying without a boost gauge is just asking for problems.

You could also re-install the Forge DV's, disconnect each hose at the opposite end of the valve, and cap off the recirculation ducts: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55073

Not an elegant solution, but if the BOV sound is all that you are after...
