Thanks for the info man.
I am kinda new to this whole dyno thing- thanks for being kind brother.
Yeah the warranty is a big deal- stage III brings plenty of power to the table for me- something I just couldn't feel in the PPK.
Different strokes for different folks so they say!

I am hoping that the Cobb tune has significantly better numbers that the Dinan Stage II. I do like the Dinan Stage II tune allot. I want to be moved to drop the money on Cobb!

Does anyone have any thoughts on what Cobb might be able to produce?

If you are staying stock? Possibly a little more. The real advantage in Cobb and GIAC is the allowance for catless/race cat downpipes. If you add one but don't tune for it you get a small bump, but you leave a lot of power on the garage floor.

Moot point for me. I went stage 3 after saying I wouldn't. Sigh.

I have looked into Stage III for Dinan but given i have the M Sport package, their FMIC won't fit unless I want to change my front bumper back to the standard one and I don't want to do that.

Ahhh okay- no regrets here man.
Don't forget the car is also worth more at a private sale (for the right buyer).
The only thing I KIND OF regret is killing my CPO but hey, pay to play,
isn't that what they say?

OK, it looks like it's been a while since the last entry into this thread. Regardless, I found this thread very informative. I bought my 11' 335Xi M-Pkg out of my lease and probably within the next month I will be getting the Dinan 2 along with axle back Dinan exhaust. Just wondering if anyone would have any updated information for this thread.

Don't. Text Dark Knight or me for discussion. We both have Stage 3, and the associated hardware. My e92 is faster than his e93. Much faster.

I have a 2011 E92 with Dinan Stage 2 software. With stock software, my car ran a best of 13.7 @ 100, and typically ran 14.1 - 13.9 @ 98 - 100.

After the Dinan software, it ran a best of under 13.0 @ 109, and typically runs 13.0 - 13.2 @ 106 - 108

I have a 2011 Xdrive 335i with Dinan stage 3 software, Dinan intercooler, Dinan Oil cooler, AFE stage 2 intake and BMW performance exhaust. I got these figures off of my dash command plug in reader while tearing about.

437 hp / 490 Torque, max boost 15 psi, engine peak 6903 rpm

what else would get more? maybe a downpipe?

I trust you have Pure Stage 2, since unless you do those numbers likely would not be believed by anyone here. Especially the much cooler N54 guys. Everyone here, including Pure, tend to look down on the Dinan tunes. They all said the Pure 2 was not worth it unless I intended on going b to the walls with a tune other than the Dinan. I believe they are all confusing the results with that of the Stage 2, as I was told by Dinan that their Stage 3 provided 15 psi. I too had a CPO, which the Dinan parts and stealthy Pure kept intact for the duration. It was quick before. The addition of the downpipe did make it quicker. And louder. I just beefed up my brakes for a clutch upgrade, followed by some alcohol. The downpipe is a necessity for what is to come.

I'd rather get a JB4 honestly.

I have a 2012 335 with the Dinan S1 package that includes the stage 2. Having still been under warranty at that time if was great because it was all under warranty. No issues and it's been 2 years as my daily driver. Fuel didn't change much. Using manual gears it takes off a bit more too.

I had looked into getting the turbo by Dinan but my car isn't listed. I guess I missed the cut off production date by a few months. If anyone knows that they support my car please let me know because I would love to get that turbo and help out.

I also like how there isn't many S1 (whole Dinan package with serial number).

No way in hell I believe those numbers are accurate unless you are running Pure Stg 2 or some other aftermarket Turbo with much more boost than that.

Dinan isn't all that good from what I've read on this forum so unless there is some new magic in their Stg 3 software it'll be hard for anyone on this forum to buy it.

Can you put that thing on a real Dyno and then give us the numbers??

Yes I agree and I can't even believe that they'd be that high, something has to be off/over estimating the numbers.

If this was true as far as crank even most of us would've bought this tune instead of MHD/JB4/Cobb or whatever else is out there.

I'll chime in quick. I had a 335 with JB4 and I now have an X1 35 with Dinan stage 2. At least to my butt dyno, the Dinan has more torque. From a dead stop, it launches harder than my 335 ever did, the rest feels awfully similar.

This is comparing it to an N55 335 jb4 map 5 on 94 vs N55 X1 Dinan stage 2 on 91. I haven't really tested 94 on it. Probably doesn't help much because there is no dyno, but still, just my experience.
