beemerbird For anyone who is interested, just been out & came back home down the A1(M) onto M62 etc. Very quiet traffic wise, so with some encouragement from other half, gave it some stick. Unbelievable is the word. Rolling along at 90 mph & accelerated....car knocked itself down a gear & off we went. Accelerating hard, the car decided to go into 6th at twice the national speed limit and TBH just kept pulling. Considering I've been 'playing' today, I still managed a very respectable 33.4 mpg.

OliH, you weren't kidding when you said you won't regret having the re-map done
Sounds like your really starting to enjoy it Helen, the MPG does not seem to be unduly suffering either, although your economy was never particularly good in the first place!
I'm guessing that if you practised keeping that right foot at a better angle in relation to the power peddle, you could get that MPG figure looking quite respectable. That will perhaps happen when you finish playing, although I that time will never come.

I trust you were wearing a skirt whilst doing those speeds Helen, the boys in blue would no doubt be looking elsewhere were they to have pulled you over, and would have struggled to concentrate long enough to write a ticket.

Hello Ian....I will not laugh at all if your mpg suffers slightly after the re-map. If I did your slow motorway speeds I could manage similar mpg I'm sure. As you may or may not know, there are some excellent driving roads up here with little or no traffic especially on a wet Sunday. Therefore much use of the paddles etc. will decrease ones mpg. It matters not, as I enjoyed myself.

No skirt today Ian, so I would have been forced to take it like a man (speeding ticket)

Congrats on the remap BB. I also went the e-maps route. I really love the way it transformed the car.
You would never want to go back to the standard car once you have the remapped one.

The guy that did my car (3 months ago) has done 17 more x35d's since then - and thats just here in NI. Seems to be a very popular choice.

Really pleased with the results, would recommend it. Something I have noticed that isn't a problem, is the auto box shifting down a gear under breaking, predominatley at low speeds? You can feel it or notice it slightly more than before. The main upside is that even at low speeds the engine feels like it's raring to go at any given moment

Carlos, you'll have to ask Simon tomorrow on this one, sure he'll know. Also, if you could remember, please ask him whether he's got his mobile back. I posted it back to him as he left it at my house the other day. Ta.
