HELP! HPFP Failure?
Well, i can't seem to figure out what my problem is. After reading many forums and watching videos, I still don't know exactly what my problem is. A bit of backstory. I was running MHD stage 1+ with catless DP's and e30 mix for fuel. Had the occasional misfire and changed a coil and that solved it for about 2 weeks. All of a sudden, on coldstarts my car will have a horribly rough idle and go into limp home. When it's warm it starts just fine. So naturally I flashed back to stock and went back to 91, problem still persists. Also noticing really crap power, maybe I'm just not used to being this de-tuned. I have the codes as follows:
29F2 - DME: Fuel high-pressure system, fuel pressure 29F3 - DME: Fuel low pressure sensor, electric 2B2C - Fuel high pressure, plausibility, cold start DME shadow (Inactive) codes - 2FCA - Fuel High pressure bei Freigabe der Einspritzung 2FDA - Crankshaft sensor, signal: Missing I'm not sure if it's my HPFP because it still taps 2300 PSI of rail pressure on pulls, then again I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. I can upload a datalog as well if that helps. I should also mention, the car has 125k on it now, been tuned since about 105k miles

Had the same issue with my hpfp. Sometimes it would log perfect psi sometimes it would shit it self. Keep an eye on the hpfp psi when ur cruising and then step on it that's where mine would always crap out high load low rpm. If it was a wot pull from first/second it would be all good thru all the gears. Same cold start issue new hpfp fixed it

Had same issue and it was my HPFP. Log a cold start and that should give it away exactly where the problem starts from

Smart I'll take a log. What would be my indication? Rail pressure? Appreciate the feedback

Ya rail pressure (hpfp) and lpfp vs. RPM on cold start. See if there is something lagging behind compared to the rpm against what it should be, or if either pressure has miniscule fluctuations in it or wild ones when it should be smooth/constant pressure. Stuff like that, be mindful and notice if the car starts stumbling at what time seconds that was after you started recording log

If you decide to replace the HPFP, get the replacement from FCPEURO as you'll get lifetime replacement warranty. I did this 4 years ago and then recently the OEM HPFP failed again and the replacement was free (got my money back after sending in the broken one). Only cost incurred was shipping back the broken one.
