N55 cold start -42 Celsius here in Canada

Does anyone has any idea why that black smoke is comming out ? Only few first seconds then goes to normal white

I think it's normal.

At that temperature, the engine is calibrated to just start, emissions be damned. The engine is dumping fuel because it doesn't atomize well when cold, and so it needs a lot more of it for combustion to happen.
