I have a late 2007 E92 with NFRM FRM2_E89.C09 module.

I have successfully increased the AE voltage in DRL mode by changing just one function:
PWM_RL_BL_1_FKT_BL
I am not sure if this has also increased the brake light voltage (as the function keyword suggests) but as it's the brake light, this would not be a bad thing. Changing PWM_SL_V had no affect and I have read this is for the sidemarker LED.

I did originally increase the AE voltage across all modes (DRL, parking/sidelight and low beams) by changing four functions:
PWM_SL_V
PWM_RL_BL_1_FKT_SL
PWM_RL_BL_1_FKT_BL
PWM_RL_BL_1_FKT_PARKL
It might be achieved with less than four changes (the last three?) but I did not experiment any further as I only wanted the DRL mode to be increased.

Initial voltages (with engine running):
  • Position 0 or 3 - DRL: 10.3-10.9V
  • Position 1 - Parking/ Sidelight: 3.5-3.8V
  • Position 2 - Low beam/ Dipped: 3.5-3.8V
I used the hex value FF,1F which sets the voltage to 100% (maximum?) and I am now getting over 14V.

Hi guys, resurrecting this thread to try increase angel eyes brightness WHEN Headlights/Xenon are ON.
Using Bimmercode I have set angel eyes to max in DRL mode fine. But no affect on the Standing or Parking light when change those corresponding settings.

Attached is a screenshot of all the options available under this category, from experience & using Carly + Bimmercode I am pretty sure a group of settings need changing together to make any noticeable overall change.

Any help/advice much appreciated.

For the FRM3_E89 So far I have figured out how to adjust front & rear DRL brightness, but if someone could help with the highlighted ?? ?? please

DRL FRONT(Angel Eyes):
PWM_SL_1_FKT_BL_TFL = 0D 1A(Very High)

PARKING LIGHT FRONT:
PWM_SL_1_FKT_SL_TFL= ?? ??

STANDING LIGHT FRONT:
PWM_SL_1_FKT_PARKL = ?? ??

?? ??
PWM_BL_FKT_SL = ?? ??

Doing some research from various other posts I have tried a wide range of values in different combinations & did manage to get the Angel Eyes Bright With Headlights/Xenons ON! BUT...there was a error as they were on Permenantly with ignition & so had to code back to default. So seems there is a way to do it but just need to figure out the correct settings.

Did anyone ever figure this out? I have changed the first one and my DRL’s are now brighter, but i want to make them the same brightness when the xenons are on. Thanks

I personally have only used the "Bimmercode" app to do any coding, so what ever file/method it uses.

I gave up on this as couldn't get it to work... Will look in to it again & feedback any useful info. The Bimmercode app has been updated a few times since then so will check if any new settings are available.

Damn, thats a shame. I hope you or someone else figures this out some day. Strange how coding relatively simple things like this varies so much by FRM type being significantly more difficult on frm3 for whatever reason

Need some help here.
I've got one E91 LCI with halogen headlights, FRM3. Replace angel eyes bulb with led ones, 30W.
I've tried all options in here, but angel eyes brightness stay the same, to weak. As DRL, parking or standing lights.
Any ideias?

There are YouTube videos of people changing the voltage with Bimmergeeks ProTool.

LEDs wont change brightness regardless of Voltage changes I believe.. They use a driver within which regulates the voltage the LED sees. This is why whatever you change the Voltage to via coding, they stay the same.
At least his is what I have been lead to believe.
Im in the same boat, no change I coded made any noticible improvement in Angel eye brightness in my LCI Halogens with LED bulbs in them.
