anything you modify would void your warranty. thats why you take them out before you take it to the dealer for any issues. HOWEVER, the dealer would have to prove that the part you modified did in fact cause the potential problem(s) in your car.

I really want the riss racing dps but don't want to have to uninstall them everytime I need service. I'm not really machanically inclined so I'd need to go to shop everytime.

Its my word against theirs. Probably won't work out in my favor... BMW service is way too expensive to risk it.

It is louder. Even Catted pipes are loud. My friend's car is damn loud now during startups compared to stock E92.

IMO, if you are concerned about your warranty, just leave the vehicle stock. It just is not worth the worrying.

That said, chance are slim that something significant would fail during the warranty period, so why not enjoy the increased power sooner. Eventually the warranty is gone anyway; enjoy things today!!!

Man, my hearing is going. I cannot discern a difference with and without catless pipes. Maybe it was the couple of days with an exhaust leak which deafened my ears.

+1: modified cars are not for everyone, so leave it stock if you are that concerned.. are you running a tune as well? looking for dp's to increase power or what? dp's increase hp and sound great with your stock exhaust..

My car sounds significantly different. Definitely deeper idle and the turbo's are without a doubt more audible. It's not loud, in any way, but different for sure.

Also in the morning when its a cold idle, its easily 2 times louder than stock. That sound mellows a ton after its warmed up.

I have a BMS intake and a SSTT chip. Yeah looking for more power and a nice deep but not loud tone.
