Smile Supersprint Exhaust Finally Broken In!!!

i thought it was all in my head first but after 2k+ miles driving with my SS exhaust, i can hear that it is now broken in. the sound changed, tunnels are incredible, and everything is smooth and perfect.

once your exhaust is broken in you can really notice the change in sound.

and yes the group buy will go on very soon. im going back to the dyno as i found the problem on why i lost power....vac line. thanks to logic i fixed it and used the ball bearing found in the golf tee post and reset the ecu by unplugging battery for 15 minutes, and yes i can now feel the power difference.

so my full review of sound clips, dynos, etc is comming as well as the group buy for all you e90 and e92 folks including quads

Would you mind taking some pictures of the installation. The areas of interest are clearance around the tips and the under hang of the mufflers. It would be nice to get pictures if the whole thing. For the cost of this system it has to be 100% perfect. Over 50% of the exhausts listed are complete hack jobs although some are even shinny.

I love the sound of the system but it would be nice to have more samples.

BTW, you can buy the plugs for the exhaust valve tube plug from here that should be used for long term but I can’t remember the tube size to you need to measure:

www.mcmaster.com

Part number: 5116K109 (1/8” tube ID)
Part number: 5116K111 (5/32” tube ID)

Did you do the full system or just the muffler? I have been looking at that system for some time now but this is the first time that I see a review about it, is great to finally see it come along.

to cover the vac line which led me a -1 whp and -15 wtq on the dyno i followed the 7/32 ball bearing and i put an extra zip tie just in case too. after that i rest the battery for 15 minutes and everything is swell.

i added the pictures you requested to my review. the valence of bumper and exhaust tip. the mufflers have a strut bar that attaches to eachother for extra strength.

i have the whole system, connecting, xpipe, and mufflers.

as for the group buy goes. the following setups are offered for both coupe and sedan.

x2 90mm tips, connecting, xpipe
x2 90mm tips and xpipe

x4 80mm tips, connecting, xpipe
x4 80mm tips and expipe.

Can you post some pictures soon and detail about a group buy. The lowest price I have found is 2383.00 for connecting pipes, x-pipe and mufflers.

Mufflers 2x: 1429.95 - http://www.autowerks.com/xcart/custo...roductid=23206
X-Pipe: 584.99 - http://www.namotorsports.net/detail....rt_cd/SS980213
Connecting Pipe:369.99 - http://www.namotorsports.net/detail....rt_cd/SS980212

All you have to do is search for Supersprint ....

Here are some videos of the Supersprint exhaust. The exhaust kit includes the connecting pipes that following the DP's, the x-pipes, and the 2 mufflers. And yes, there is NO DRONE.

Thats nice. Is that drone at the lower RPMs in the windows down video? I get that same sound in my car between about 1800-2500 RPM. I think I can live with it, but sometimes I wonder... Especially when I have my older mom in the car.
