Getting a NEW car, Help Me PICK!

Sigh, So I'm deciding on getting a new car, just something for the family. It will be an everyday car, replacing my coupe (which is getting too small for a family of 4; what was I thinking? xD).

Anyways, I will still keep the coupe regardless, just need another car. Economy is bad right now, so it's the perfect time to haggle LOL

Anyways this is what I'm looking at, you tell me which is your pick, and "why":
-09' Audi A4
-09' BMW 328i (I really hate the new facelift, but M-Bumper is decent)
-09' Mercedes C-Class
-09' Lexus IS 250??

Anyways, Put up YOUR opinions of which one is good. Do any of these cars have any known issues with them? I'm guessing the Lexus would be the most reliable right? Anyways, choose away!

If you have another suggestion, suggest it, but explain why.

hmmm..all very nice choices..in your shoes i wouldnt probably go for e90,just to have some variation..in order of preference i would go for.. lexus is250 (value for money, powerrice ratio, reliability) > audi a4 (interior,******* > merc c230 (looks and badge).. but that's just me..

WRX hatchback

interior isn't great, but new one has 270 hp and you can have a lot of freedom for aftermarket parts

don't bother with the STI though. it's heavier and only got 30 more hp. probably a lot stiffer too

Audi A4 for form, Honda Odyssey/Volkswagen Routan for function.
I would say go with a nice mini van, they are fun as fuck!!!! Even now when we use my friends parents mini van for short trips, it's fun. You could go somewhere 30 mins away and it makes the trip more interesting because it's easier to interact with each other.
Take out the center console in the front and 2nd row middle seat, and everyone can move freely.
Say your kids are hungry and in car seats, but all of the food is in the front. Your wife can easily walk back there and give them something.
It makes life much easier, there is less complaining/crying, etc..
You can even fold down the seats in the back and put a mattress in if you and your fam/wife want to go spend the night on a beach or go on a long trip.

In a high end luxury car, kids are constantly scared of messing something up.
They would much rather have a mini van IMO, that they can pile into and have room to move around.
The vibe in a mini van is much more relaxed.

Another great choice would be the 09 Volkswagen Routan. (I prefer it after looking it over)

Back seat in the Merc seems bigger to me than the BMW or Audi. Haven't seen the lexus in person but it seems to be on the small side. Something to consider if your kids are older.

Still say Audi, though. Chip it!

Back seat is bigger on the C than any other I believe and second place comes the e90. I haven't been in nor seen the 2009 A4's. The is250 is not a bad choice at all, the interior on those cars are top notch, but the back seats are extremely small.

Out of all those choices I'd go with the C class because it has decent speed, decent handling and is very comfortable.

Go with the E90 328i.

Lexus and Merc both suck, and the Audi A4 looks like ass, plus it's wrong wheel drive.

BMW 328i: Underpowered, interior isn't up to par with the A4
Mercedes C230: Waaay underpowered, but not bad for old people ()
Audi A4: Very nice car, but underpowered, especially for its weight
Lexus IS 250: Small, ugly, underpowered, well-priced
Infiniti G37S: Good power, not bad looks, lots of interior goodies, competitively priced

Ohhhh good suggestion. I like the new (for this year) WRX with the bumped up power.

Garage List
+1 for the G37S for its combination of everything.

If i were to choose from your list, it would be the A4. You would be one of the few driving around in it.

09' Mercedes C300 I was very impressed with this car. Just drove one to Vegas last weekend. It was the base model and was a really nice ride. Felt solid at 110mph. Rear seat wasnt bad either. Much bigger than my 08' A4, but not nearly as big as the 09s. Anyway, this wins in the styling department imo. We were bored on the way home and decided to rank the interior on a 1-10 scale. We gave it 7.9, haha

09' Audi This is a fantastic car, but in order to get it looking good you will NEED to go with the S-line package (not out yet). The main problem with the current exterior styling is that you can put a fist in the wheel well gap. Its hideous. Merc and Bmw have solved this problem, while audi is just clueless. Also if you get the Audi, I say the drive select option is a must. Oh and if you want the cool Led headlights, thats another pricey option. Xenons should be standard but arent.

The G37 is only available in coupe as of right now isn't it?? He is looking for a sedan which would be the G35.
