Spent a lot of the weekend sealing the new wheels using Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels, 2 coats per wheel, about 1 hour per coat WITH 2 hours between successive coats

Untitled by Az Riz, on Flickr

Anyone want to hazard a guess at the colour? It isn't your usual sorta thing at all - possibly a world-first in this exact finish in fact as I have done a LOTTT of searching online and on Instagram over the last 3 months for pics of what my wheels would look like and no such thing exists

(If you already know, don't say it! lol)

Both good guesses, white would be cool but a nightmare to keep looking clean as it would look filthy after the first brake application lol

I'd love to do air, I just can't justify the cost. Airlift + Accuair would be my preference too, I don't think they can be beat, especially Accuair.

What does your install look like? Where have you mounted the compressors and tank etc? Often the hardest part of the install is making it all look neat and tidy. Personally I'd try and hide it all under the car, but that's just me.
Just reading through, and noticed that I missed this post, sorry man!

Yup you're exactly right, in fact I have found that too low a ride height makes it LESS comfortable than going a tiny bit higher as the pressure in the bags is a bit too low and I guess it makes the shocks do more of the bump-damping!

Yeah the whole thing is crazy money, undoubtedly silly, but I wanted to do it for years so thought I'd give it a go. Hopefully get a useful amount back upon resale of the kit lol.

My install is a wreck right now, literally, all mounted up in a very rudimentary setup in the boot. My aim is to buy a second care soonish, get this off the road and then get to work on it while it is off road. Need a second car anyway so will be the best way to do it. Not for a while yet, though.

It's fine!

There in theory should be a pressure where the 'spring rate' correctly matches the valving of the damper, as even with the best will in the world there's no way without adjustable valves (if they exist) that the damper can match the bag constantly. Obviously the damper adjustment will help a bit.

Exactly this. I use a low driving height (zero arch gap basically) which feels ok but I sometimes raise it about 1-2cm on rough streets which is more firm but better matched with the dampers, I find. Just as you say.

Are you at any shows this year, by the way?

At most of the main ones working in some form or another. Nothing too north though.

Wheels look sweet, Meisters are my number one wheel, but these might actually suit the E9X more!

Look awesome Az. When I first saw the photo I didn't realise you'd altered the colour, but loving what I see. Potential to become my favourite 3 piece for E92! Really good choice

It's wasted on me, I'm colour-blind

In all seriousness, I can't wait
