Cost effective tire options

Hey Good Morning Folks,

So i just went through with some new wheels (Apex EC-7) 18x9 18x10, looking for some good summer tires on the low 255/35 and 275/35. I heard alot of great things about the federal 595's, Firsestone Firehawk Indy 500's, Hankook Ventus V12's and Nitto Nt555. Just an FYI all these are under $200 per tire. I run Pilot super sports on my E46 but they are smaller and more affordable and i absolutely love them, which ones do you prefer and if there anymore you suggest around the same price points please share them.

Your help and opinions are greatly appreciated!

Nt05 have been my fav out of pss and v12 on this car. Best traction with best turn in not as quiet as pss prob on par with v12 but def more confident in turns and very progressive oversteer under power.

My favorite budget tires and really best bang for the buck regardless of price in my opinion is the sumitomo htr z iii. I have the firestone firehawk indy 500s now and like them too but I slightly prefer the sumitomos. The Fire stones grip incredibly well especially when hot but they let go more quickly than the sumitomos with very little warning and they're a little more harsh on the sidewall. I think you'd be happy with either!

I second firehawk indy 500's. Use them as a front steer tire on my drift car, great grip for the price.

How loud are the Indy 500s? I was considering them but don't want a loud tire.

I've only tried the v12s out of that list and they're garbage pleb tires. Conti extremecontact sports are cheap -- that's what I use.

I saw that you are good now but I wanted to mention Nexen SU1 as an option. Not sure if they are available conus but I am running them on my 335i and my 118i here in Germany. Great tires!

Over on bimmerforums, or google "Betty the Beater"

I pretty much had like a grand that I could buy the car with, and minimal cash to make it driftable initially. It's the ideal seat time car, it's reliable, shit doesnt usually break, and it's driven to and from every single drift event. I've been kind of bad at updating the thread this year after events/ making videos, because I've been focused on actually driving.
The thread has most of the information about what I've done on it, feel free to pop in and ask any questions there!

Lets be real, you can message me here too. I love talking about it.

I can't believe how many like the Firestone Indy. I had them on my Audi and they had no grip in the rain and would spin in the dry with the TCS on. I put a set of Cooper RS3-S on the Audi and found traction. They were quieter than the Indy's as well.
