If he was on a good plan at rogers then may be. Getting plan from rogers right now will be expensive.
Right now I pay $50 unlimited everything + 3g data. 8gb data local. 1gb data away. Pass that usage and data goes to 3g unlimited.

Telus, bell, rogers out of the question because the bill will be in $100s

Update. Went with T-mobile. Unlimited plan. Love it. Now im even on my laptop using my hotspot downloading torrents and not worrying about the data.
