M3 instrument cluster retrofit
Hi all,
I would like to retrofit an m3 instrument cluster into my E91 335i. Is anyone on here able to do this? Cash waiting! Cheers. Andy

Just in case you are interested, I offer a partial service for free.
I can make the cluster virgin in factory state for simple plug and play coding with NCS EXPERT and a DCAN cable if you have one. Just cost of postage back to you required. |

Hi Sensible,
That is a very kind offer however I am not good with computers and would be concerned about messing something up. Thank you very much anyway. Andy

Always liked the look of the D3 dials, but read horror stories of the cars mileage increasing across the systems if you fit a set of clocks from a higher mileage car! |

Ok great - I'll start hunting for one then!
What happens when you install the virginised cluster? It accepts my cars current mileage?? Also what happens if I sell the car & install the original speedo back in? Will the original replicate the new mileage of the car that has been accumulated on the car whilst the other clocks have been in? |

The cluster works in partnership with the CAS. Whichever has the higher mileage, the other will take when the vin is matched. Once a virgin cluster is installed it needs coding as with any retrofit module to your cars VO. Simply default coding with NCS Expert will also write the correct vin to he virgin cluster. You can switch between clusters at any time. Whichever cluster your install, as long as he vin is correct, will automatically take the highest mileage stored. This will be from the CAS. |
