TPMS Inactive - need new sensors?

The TPMS Inactive warning on my 2013 335is has been coming on sporadically for months now, and now it's on pretty much all the time. I'm gathering I need new TPMS sensors. Tire Rack recommends this one for my car. If I have them sent to my local tire shop (Tire Kingdom), will they be able to take care of it? That is, I've read horror stories of people trying (and failing) to code new sensors with INPA, and wanted to make sure I really don't need anything that the tire shop can't do.

Could also be an ABS sensor failure.
Had the same issue, but also had sporadical ASR failures popping up at the same time. I've replaced the ABS sensor and everything was back to normal.

I've had no ABS and DSC lights coming on, though (and front and rear brake pads plus sensors were done within the past year). Just the TPMS inactive light. Someone had mentioned the likely cause is a dead battery in the TPMS sensor(s), but apparently, even though they're basically a watch battery, they can't be replaced because they are sealed in the sensor.

I'm hoping someone can weigh in first before I take an almost $300 gamble on this. I'm really surprised there is no definitive answer here or in other forums. Replacing the sensors comes closest, but then there is a thread on another forum where a guy got stuck in a coding nightmare after replacing the sensors.

You need to check your faults. With the fault info you’ll get some help. You can also check the battery life of the sensors using ista. You may need just one sensor and it’s taking down the whole system. I’ve recently been having same thing happen to me on long trips and it’s my right front sensor. Have the part waiting for the next time it triggers.

No codes, but I didn't realize you could check battery life with ISTA.

Sensors.
The tire store can check sensor by holding a meter next to the tire.
