Looks good, The overly strong grip seems a little odd. But what matters is where the ball goes and if your happy with that then dont mess with it.

i did a full course for the first time last weekend and had a blast. You seem to have good power and make good contact so stick with what you're doing. I need a ton of work but golf is a great sport

BTW what's the name of that song?

one major flaw I can see immediately is your grip. you have to have a proper grip so you can properly transfer the swing power to the club, and eventually to the ball.

both hands should work as one unit; meaning the right had should be over the left thumb area, and interlocking the rest of the fingers. Thats the Interlocking style of grip, the same concept can be attained without interlocking the fingers and thats what they call the Verdon(overlaped) method popularized by Ben Hogan, which Tiger Woods picked up and now also associated with his name.

More videos of these or any other golf instructions are available at youtube.

Seems like you're striking it well, but I would say that your lower body is way ahead of your upper body. Your legs are already through the swing when your shoulders are horizontal.

yep and back side is breaking down at the top of the swing...your take away is good...then at the top you want to hit the ball so hard that you break down...tempo is the key....

watch a few 18 year old college girls...they weigh a 110 pounds and hit their drivers 290

it takes some serious guts to post this up...

It's hard to see the club face at the top of your back swing because its out of frame, but it appears that you might not even be all the way full 100%. Because of your grip, I'm not sure your irons are pointed downward with the toe like it should. Listen to other comments as well.

i have a odd stance for golf and a lot of people point it out but it works for me all i care about is the ball going straight. I took some lessons in high school just for a few pointers because i always use to slice lol. From what i see your kinda sloppy but its not like the ball is going all over the place its going straight so good job.

I really doubt the 280 claim with the 3 wood. Because I carry about the same as you with my seven iron, yet I don't even carry my driver that far. Just sayin'

+1

If you could hit a 3-wood 280, your 7-iron should be closer to 180-190 yards.

It does appear your making solid contact though, which is the most important aspect of a golf swing, just keep practicing, its one hell of a sport

How are your divots on the course? I'm not sure but it seems like you are helping the ball up a little bit with your irons. So my guess is that your divots are really shallow or you pick it off the fairway. Regardless it looks like you'e making good contact but maybe swing down into the ball more and try to "compress" the ball more? Or I could be talking out of my ass. Regardless do whatever works for you. Look at Jim Furyk's or Jim Thorpe's swing. It's all messed up but the ball goes straight. haha

are those carry yardage? You can carry a 3 wood 280??? damn.. hercules!!

If you say 280 on a roll then that can be more believable depnding on the lie and how hard the fairway is and what direction the wind is going. If you can carry a 3 wood 280, you should be able to carry your driver over 3 bills. Sign up for the Pinnacle long drive contest! haha
