Please help.
I just replaced rotors. There's a lot of play in the calipers. Not sure what I'm missing. The clip is on, the two bolts are torqued down. Yet I can easily wiggle the whole thing with a screwdriver. What could it be? Could old rattle clip not be effective at holding it steady? |

Caliper Movement
Are you experiencing noises and braking issues coming from the car? The caliper is suppose to "float" over the rotors a little.

You can consult realoem to check you fitted all the parts.
The brake caliper really must float, but not freely. I'm not sure if you have problem, because cannot take into account the force applied on the screwdriver, I will suppose- yes, you have missed some part. Just check some diagram of all parts. |
