FS: Professional Radio from 2006 325i
I have a Professional head unit taking up space in my garage. A few months ago I replaced it with a head unit from a 2011 car with built-in Sirius XM.
The radio I have for sale works perfectly and looks good. Two years ago I had the display panel refreshed by a professional service (I think they were in Illinois). I was having problems with the trunk-located satellite tuner, and went ahead and got the newer radio. So, I have a nice 2006 radio and a flaky satellite tuner. Anyway, rather than throwing a perfectly good radio in the trash, I wonder if someone will give me $25 or two six packs of Guinness Stout 12 oz bottles for it. I will ship it if the purchaser pays shipping costs. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance from my home/work area of Upper Marlboro, but that may require additional beer.

Was the Sirius issue with the trunk module or in the head unit?

I can’t be 100% positive, but I believe the sat radio issue was a problem with the sat tuner. The specific problem was intermittent loss of sat signal. All other functions of the radio (FM, AUX) worked fine. (I never tried playing a CD.) I purchased the sat tuner from EBay earlier this year, and it worked fine for about six months.
