First and foremost I apologize for the delay. Meguiar's is quite a ways behind on production and they are working hard to catch up. If you ordered one of the kits before 2/22 we sent you an e-mail with an update when we adjusted the estimated ship date to let you know it would be delayed. Unfortunately the kits are the furthest items behind schedule. We hope to everything besides the kits in stock in the not too distant future but the updates are really slow from Megs at this time. As soon as I have an update on the kits I'll send out an e-mail to everyone who ordered one. Again thank you for your patience and we're working hard to get the products in stock and shipped to you asap.

Unfortunately we do not ship directly to any international address at this time. If you would like to use a drop shipping company like bongous.com they will give you a US address that you can have packages sent to and then forwarded to you. You can also potentially have it shipped to friends or family in the US, if that is an option for you. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Hi I was wondering what I could do to fix this mess I got myself into

Apparently I have swirly heaven and I want to get rid of it.

What products should I use? Also can I do this myself? Or should I send my car to a detailer to buff this out for me?(I'd rather do it myself so I don't get charged for labor XD)

Here's a pic of my car.

^ the DA microfiber system should certainly be able to clear that all up. Going to a pro has its advantages, but there's nothing quite like doing things yourself. It really comes down to personal opinion.

Just know that if you want to tackle your car yourself; you can!

I would also suggest the kit listed here or get one with a Porter Cable 7424 XP - DI Packages Porter Cable 7424XP & Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Starter Kit 5" Free Bonus. With some time and effort you should be able to get outstanding results!

Meguiar's DA Professional Backing Plate - ideal backing plate for a PC 7424 XP or other quality dual action (aka DA) buffer
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound applied with Meguiar's DA Microfiber Cutting Disc Buffing Pad
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Finishing Wax applied with the Meguiar's DA Microfiber Finishing Disc Buffing Pad

This two step combo is all you need to polish and protect your paint. It will remove the vast majority of surface imperfections and leave the paint glossy and smooth! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Greg @ DI
really is that it?
2 steps?
after wash and clay of course

im a noob to this
TIA

What do you guys think about using this for Jet Black cars? I'm thinking that I would have to use a better finishing polish - PO85rd and skip the 2nd meguires step?

EDIT: haha I should have read earlier.... thanks for the info

After a wash and clay you should be able to use this process to help polish and protect the paint. That is the impressive part about this kit is that it's removing step and keeping up with great results.

Would it be okay to use Zaino Z-2 / Z-6 Combo instead of the finishing wax in this kit? I already have those and would like to use them if I can.

Yes it is okay to use alternative options for the finishing wax. Just make sure the Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound is not leaving any haze on the surface after your first pass. Assuming it does not you are all set to go right to your sealant of choice after using the Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound. If it does leave a light haze you would just need to do a light polishing like the Meguiar's M205 or Menzerna PO106FA. In most cases it's not leaving a haze but it's possible. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

One more question. Instead of the Meguiar's one, can I use the Lake Country 6" Backing Plate I bought with my Porter Cable kit from you?

Would it be okay to use the Blackfire sealant after using the Finishing Wax (After using correction compound as first step)? I ask because I heard it's usually the opposite, wax after sealant.. Thanks

I have the silverstone II paint. it's very hard. I have trouble removing swirls with 5.5 LC yellow pad, meg 105 and PC. It gets them out but it takes 3-5 passes and is a very time consuming process, and the paint is still not perfect..

I am thinking of stepping up to a flex rotary but if I can get them out in 1-2 passes with the new meg microfiber system it would be great.

Also, would replacing the 5.5 LC yellow pad by a surbuf be even better?

One more question, does this system work for protection films (such as 3M)? I have a bit of scratch on the trunk ppf and was wondering if the DA polisher could take care of it. Thanks!
