Looking to buy stock 335i mufflers, want to do a little experiment on cutting them open to test out some ideas. If any of you have stock mufflers collecting dust Id be glad to give you a few bucks for them and take them off your hands.

Haven't posted in a long time but this message goes out to Ken. Since the new track season is around the corner, this is something worth considering...

Thanks for looking out for me Interesting weapon, but not looking for track only car for now though. but looking for a streetable car that is light enough to be fun on track.

As for track only car there was a track z3 coupe with roll cage etc. for less than 10k recently.

You closer to your dream car?

Ken, every spring I get the urge of buying that weekend classic but I can't get myself to part with the cash. I blame the kids and their needs first...you know how it is.

Ha ha! I know what you mean, but Joel is not completely wrong either, in the sense that we don't know low long exactly we have in front of us.

If you can enjoy now while you can, do it. Paying off the mortgage quickly makes no sense

Go for it!!!!

No the intake side of the engine head, requires quite a bit of tooling.

Oops, never mind, that's why I had that incredulous (and apparently, unwarranted) tone, but I didn't own the 335 long enough to require any after-warranty work, haha.

I think it's called Walnut blasting of intake valves to remove oil crap/crud from the recirculating crank case air that gets the oil separated but some oil vapors do get by nevertheless which is why some use an oil catch can to minimize the issue. catch breath. But I haven't done it to date

Oh issue is mainly for newer technology of Direct cylinder injection so that fuel which contains cleaners don't get to pass by the intake valves anymore to have the chance to clean them. catch breath. your VW will have the same issue

Ever since seeing someone post a reply to someone selling wheels on MR offering to trade a Sunbird "with a new fuel pump" for them, I've lost any and all faith in the retards that frequent MR. Probably doesn't apply to all, but .... no chances taken there. :P

SO I took my car out today. Well as a matter of fact, I have taken her out 2 days ago for a very small drive around the block. Battery was dead, needed to boost it with my Golf. Same thing today.

Last year, the car started easily after the winter break. But not this year. Probably need a new battery now. It the original one and my car is a 2008.

So I drove 35 kms on highway 15... Hope it recharged the battery. If it doesn't start tomorrow, then I'll have to buy one. Maybe one of those skinny/light ones.

Driving the car was pure pleasure. My first event is Mosport on April 25-27th.

Going to visit Seb soon to get her ready.
