reverse lights with welcome lights?

Is it possible to code your reverse lights to come on with your welcome lights? I looked through the NFRM data and I see all the other lights listed as options, just not reverse lights.

thanks!

Question, why?

When I'm driving in a parking lot and see reverse lights on; I slow down even further or stop to make sure the person won't just back into me.

Not sure if you can code it or cannot, the question is should you? Don't turn your car into a light show / christmass tree.

The newer cars do this. Like my 2018 Tahoe. When I unlock it, the welcome lights come on, which include the reverse lights.

Thought it would just be a nice touch to the car.

Huh.. didn't know that. Tahoe sounds stupid.
I'll keep an eye on Tahoes in parking lots that looks like they are reversing! Thanks for the tip.

Also, you typically see brake lights on with reverse lights when someone is backing up. Hopefully you can tell the difference between someone backing up and someone who just unlocked their car. I've never had that problem before

I don't think many people will try to notice if the brake light is on along with the reverse.
I know I don't, especially after fighting to get two kids in their seats.
But good luck with this.

An alternative to coding reverse lights would be to get bright LED license plate lights... They shine towards the ground to light it up, and improve the look while driving!
