I messed up. Need input.

I just did a turbo swap on my e92 335i MT.

While the steering colum shaft was disconnected from the rack, the steering wheel was rotated, maybe a bunch of times?

Now the airbag light is on, and horn/buttons no longer work. I'm guessing I messed up the clockspring or something.

Anyone heard of this happening? What was the damage?

Is there a fuse I should check first?

Where should I start?

Thanks.

Yeah it sounds like the clock spring needs to be replaced. You might have ripped the wires that control steering wheel functions etc.

There is very little room for error on the clock spring. Even one turn the wrong way, it won’t be centered, and will break the clock spring.
