Can't play MP3s

Hi Everybody,

I wish to know if I can play MP3s in my BMW professional audio system. My car is a 2006 320i with CD player in the dash and 6 CD changer in the trunk. I've burned a CD with some MP3s inside and inserted it in both places and I get a CD error. Is there anything I can do?

I don't know if my firmware is up to date.

What program are you using to burn the MP3 CD?

It may also be the type of cd that you are using. Try Memorex.

I know that with older E60's the MP3 is a "feature" that could be coded.

I'm using Windows 7 integrated CD burning software and choosing the "Act as USB drive option". Should I use another software?

I'm using a printable disc, I can't recall the brand. I will try Memorex.

There's your problem. Burn with the other option, something about "regular disk".

You can also use Apple iTunes to make MP3 CDs.

Thank you all guys. The problem was writing the disc like a USB device. I recorded it like a CD player and MP3s play just fine from the dash panel and cd changer.
