At least the touchscreen is within perfect reach when my hand is resting on the shifter. Beats having to use an idrive knob.

It looks a little low but I think it's fine.
You can always put the climate controls in the center console. Seen a few people do it.

^^ Thats cool jus a little too weird for me. Would be annoying opening up your center console to turn down the heat. It just looks ackward to me too. OP has a nice set up, too low for me as well though. A lot nicer than stock but ill stick with my nav/idrive
