I've had the AFE catted headers installed about two months ago. When I first had them installed I had the secondary cat delete with the BMW performance exhaust and it was friggin loud. My first course of action was to have 9-inch resonators installed on the mid pipes, which didn't help much, I then reinstalled the secondary cats, which toned it down to an acceptable level, until about 4,000 RPM. I then purchased the Dinan exhaust system, which helped but I ended up installing a baffle insert in the Y pipe. The increase in low and mid-range power was quite noticeable. Obviously, everyone has a different level of tolerance for noise, but the one thing I can assure you, if you are running with the secondary cat delete and the PE, it will be substantially louder. Have fun!
Thanks man... Yeah I'm excited to get it, I'm hoping the noise will not bother me. I don't know how AA headers can be tolerable with 2ndary cat delete + PE, wow... I am crossing my fingers that the AFE header+AFE mid pipes will be tolerable enough.. I do have the oem mid-pipes worst case.

I tried cross referencing all of the face lift N52 manifolds for the European market and none of them show up as ever being used here, so the assertion that the EU market switched to US headers and lost power appears to be false.
Ive seen the oem E60 530 N52 headers, they use a tubular collector instead of a manifold collector.

Haha, I am actually dyno'ing tomorrow. I resolved an exhaust leak issue so if not tomorrow, 100% next week.

I like to lie and lead people on. It works with females, let's see how car nuts handle it.

Everybody knows that the RX-0 is the most powerful UC Gundam ever and overall it comes to a tie with the GNT-0000 00 QAN(T), just saying.

Setsuna ties with Amuro, but Banagher is no slouch either.

No on that. in order to pass visual, the headers need a CARB label welded onto them. There is a lot of testing required to get that (not to mentions only specific types of aftermarket catylists are allowed to be used in California).

A better question is "how stock do these headers look". if they look close to stock, a smog tech may not notice (or care) and just test your car anyway.
