Go fast bits is a popular offering and we've had positive feedback with them. Not the easiest install for an amateur but certainly do-able if you some some mechanical skillset.

What does this part do? And is it noticeable?

no performance gains to be had. stock diverter valve is rubber and can tear cuasing a boost leak. GFB diverter inserts are metal and uses a piston design todivert the air. it can never rip or tear aka cause a boost leak or hang open.

Thanks. I just received mine - I'll get it installed next week.

those who installed it - did you install with the spring or without? The instructions say installing with the spring may cause a CEL to be thrown.

Understood. Thanks for the response.

Does it at least do what is advertised? Is there any improvement in boost/throttle response?

I got mine installed today. As others have mentioned, raise the car up, drain coolant, and remove the 3 bolts to release the water pump. Then you can access DV. You remove part of the stock DV and use the DV+ to replace that portion.

Engine holds boost much better. Its subtle but it does make a difference.

Does it sound different from holding boost better?

Yes, to the extent that you can hear the turbo. When I take my foot off the gas pedal, the boost doesn't drop off suddenly anymore but instead gradually tapers off.

That doesn't sound like a good thing. I would want my DV to release all the pressure fast so I don't get compressor surge.

Honestly, I have no idea. Seems to hold boost better, and that's all I really notice.

Hey guys-
Coming from first hand experience.... If your running pure stage 2, GET the upgrade DV from GFB!
Car was running like a freight train and then all of sudden the car seemed much slower. Shortly there after, half CEL came on-

Code was a boost leak... Surprise surprise! I'm running 22 psi. I got it installed this week and she is back! Got to tell you, it's everything as advertised! Throttle reponse is lighting fast and pulls all the way to red line like when I first got it retuned.

That's the primary reason for this upgrade. The stock one will eventually let go and leak boost.

Good to know! Anyone with an upgraded turbo should be running it.

I had one on my R56 and it caused a CEL, so this doesn't cause a CEL for our cars? I'm about to pull the trigger on it after I bought the Pure inlet pipe.
