Thanks! I did the bypass on it (avic411.com) and it does play both while driving. I don't watch movies while driving though. That's not very safe. Besides, I'm too busy txting to watch movies.

the unit itself is available in europe but has a different model name..all you need is someone to fabricate the centre console for climate control nd the double din..

Thanks. I had made a previous bezel minus the climate controls but I decided I don't want my climate controls in the armrest.

Thanks I think so too. Main reason I didn't go with idrive is that huge hump in the center of the dash looks awefull IMO. The non-idrive dash looks looks a lot better to me. That and I prefer a touchscreen and being able to get the latest and greatest headunits that come out. They get better every year.

But two problems i see doing this.

How do i connect the cables from BMW's orginal radio to the Pioneer AVIC-F10BT?
Does the car work without the original radio? Or does BMW have to do a programming of something?
Where the **** do i find someone to fabricate the double din plate?
