Garrett GT3071R on a N52. What do you think?
Friend is giving me a GT3071R for free, hes getting a different turbo. Thinking of putting it on my 328i. I have a couple questions.
How much psi can i run before needing to modify the motor? What bolt on parts would I need? Any thing I should know about a turbo'd N52? Thanks. |

You need to follow the 2 threads regarding turbo n52's.
So far there are only 3 cars to successfully do it. All of which requires quite a bit of work. You won't be able to "buy" bolts on to make it work. You'll have to get a majority of your parts custom fabricated. Either that, or wait for BPC to release their kit. |

I believe if the N52 was BMW's flagship I6 for a longer period of time, we'd see more options from aftermarket companies. Without those companies placing focus, it leaves it to owners to come up with the manifolds & modifications to make the turbo work. As mentioned BPC is making a kit as we speak, just all depends how much your willing to spend to get those extra ponies. |
