Hey guys, I'm new to the BMW world. Just bought a CPO 2009 e90 335 xdrive with 22k miles and am really enjoying the car! I came from a built STI and can't deny the luxury of the BMW compared to it. The STI was fast though..

Already installed the JB4 g5 iso, BMS dci, and just put on some Avant Garde m359's. Went 30% e85 on map 5 and it got the car moving pretty damn well!

I look forward to some of the meets and especially some group buys

Any jb4 users up here experience maxed fuel trims? Had to get with Terry to get my fuel trims figured out. Something about high altitude and cold temps..

Hey CO guys!

Can anyone recommend a good painter? I adding an M3 style bumper to my car and would love to get it painted for less then $400 if possible.

I should add that I'm in Lone Tree, so anywhere in Denver would be good!

Anyone want a 94 530i with tons of mechanical work done, just needs paint and some hail dings replaced?

Someone on Colorado BMW Groupe on FB recommended Pro Auto Collision in Centennial, near Jordan and Arapahoe.

I stick by what I've always said, Auto Image does a fantastic job matching paint. I plan on using them when I go to do the M Sport bumper and vented hood on mine.

They did great work on my fiances Sentra after a hail storm. Several of the dealers use them too.

Also check out SVE in Broomfield.

Ahhhhhhh. I found the replacement for the current e92 as long as it doesn't have electronically assisted steering. http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=785425 http://www.caranddriver.com/features...n-test-feature If it's hyrdraullic and with an S55, I'll be getting one. If not, P car time.

The M235i looks pretty awesome by itself too.

Nice article on the EPS vs. Hydro. Have you driven a new BMW with the EPS? I had a brand new 328xi M-Sport loaner for 2 weeks not too long ago. The first thing I noticed was how light the steering was at slow speeds. Definitely noticed the difference in steering feedback, but I got used to it.

BTW, I'm pretty sure a lot of modern Porsche's are already using EPS steering too.

Even get A/C and radio for my soft ass, but at least I won't have to press and hold this "DTC" button every time I want to drive.

If the M2 looks anything like that, it's gonna sell a shit load better than the new M4.

Yes, that car is sweet. A guy has one that he brings out to autocross on occasion.

M3/M4 has EPS, so if I were to bet, I would say the M2 will also have it. Don't the new 911s/Boxters/Caymans...even the 'purist' GT3 use it now?

And thanks Alex!

Regarding EPS, I have driven several new F30s, and even an F10, and the EPS is glaringly noticeable as compared to my E92. Even in sport modes, the steering feel is very vague to me. I'm sure some of the old school guys say the same things about the E9x from an E46, but the difference to the new cars with EPS is huge, and not in a good way at all.

FYI, pretty great article on Hydraulic vs. electric steering
http://www.caranddriver.com/features...n-test-feature

Schomp has an M235i for test drive that I need to get down and try. I really want to see if the steering is improved in that. I am disappointed that the M4 will have it as well. Guess its just how things are these days with the emissions regs.

Agreed. M2 looks really wide. Also it may be another 300 to 400 lbs lighter, which I like.

Yes, my wish is probably a pipe dream. Yes, even Stuttgart is starting to use EPS. I frankly don't know which newer ones.

Same experience with F30. It was a WTF moment, and I didn't get used to it. I will have to try the M235i out at some point. But first on my list is finding a FF!

After reading about the CEO of BMW, I really wonder if they are moving away from their constituency. I'll be bold and think aloud and write that I wonder if the ///M division will do a reverse AMG someday. Sacriligous thought? Maybe it will just get smaller and Ms will become more expensive.
