Questin about the alpha codeing: Who came-up with it? Is it something found on bmws overseas or did someone mess around with the tcu to perfect it and make it work better, like the ecu.

It is directly off the Alpina to your car, there is no modifications done, some Alpina cars are just basic tunes, suspension upgrades, and styling. As far as who discovered it, it was a joint effort by a group of people. For years some tuners have used performance files such as this to base their tunes off or flat out just use it.

of course they can find out. D mode is now D1-D6. DS mode is S1-S6.

just curious why the flash wont work on pre 03/2007 builds? i know the pre 03/07s dont have an oil cooler. what if i would install an oil cooler would it be safe to do a alpina flash?

Hey, the pre 03/07 will never have a flash as Alpina never made one for it.

Alex flashed my car with the Alpina tune about two weeks ago, as well as all sorts of option coding and even got my comfort key working again! Just installed a new jb4 and it works great with the tune, hauls ass and bangs off quick shifts effortlessly.
