Hi,

I already have 19x9.5 et40. It is the same for all four rims. Currently, I'm running 235/35 front and 265/30 rear.

My car is standard suspension and no M-body kit. I prefer to run stock cambers and no roll fenders.

I consider upgrading the suspension. H&R 35/20 mm lowering springs and Sachs M-spec damping.

The question is how much wheel spacers I do need to run to avoid all problems and get the aesthetic look. Slight rubbing at a slow speed bump would be ok.

Thanks in advance

I dont think to add wheel spacers for the front. But I look for max size spacers for rear wheels for flush look. Don’t I need 5mm spacers for front to avoid h&r strut problem with inner wheel at the front?

Hi there,

If you are using a traditional lowering spring and shock combo, that should maintain the same inner suspension clearance as the factory components. Typically, you will only have to use a spacer with coilover kits that utilize a conical style spring such as KW or ST.

As for aesthetics, the best way to dial-in the setup to your preferences is to mount the wheels without spacers and measure from the top of the tire to your fender. That way, you will know exactly how much clearance you have and where certain spacer sizes would push out the wheels/tires in correlation to your fenders.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

excuse me.... how can you add 10mm spacer at the rear?
AFAIK, the rear hub lip is 12mm long.... a 10mm spacer cannot be fit well and completely....

looking forward to you reply, Thanks !!

Chalk that up to Mass-a-two-shits roads. Drive in CT NH or VT and that does not happen. Can't speak about RI roads as I hardly ever travel there except for Westerly Beach area.

They're brutal. Road work is always going on as well. Doing my best to keep these wheels looking pretty

I have some fitment questions I was hoping you guys could help me with. Let me begin by mentioning I have a new set of michellin Ps4 that are 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 Rears. They currently are mounted on original 189 bmw rims that are 8 inch wide front and 8.5 on the rear. The offsets are et34 front and et37 rear. Let me also add I have 10mm spacers on the rear and 12mm spacers on the front and have no rubbing issues. My e92 has the sport package so I'm a bit lower than reg stock height Was hoping you could direct me to a set up that would be very similar to what I already have without the need for spacers. I'm really digging the arc 8's and want to purchase soo , I'm thinking 8.5 front and 9.5 rear but not sure on offsets would like to look as flush as possible without having to roll. Any input would be appreciated thanks

Sincerely

Hi there,

With the tire specs you listed, I would suggest running the following fitment:

Front: 18x8.5" ET38 with 235/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x9.5" ET35 with 265/35-18 tires
-Direct fit.
-OEM 225/40-18 front and 255/35-18 rear tires can also be used as a direct fit

With a 18x8.5" ET38 front and a 18x9.5" ET35 rear, you can run your current 225/40-18 front and 255/35-18 rear PS4S tires without any issues. This setup will be a direct fit on a stock or mildly lowered car and will provide a decently flush fitment front and rear.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thanks for the kind words! After fender roll I have no rubbing whatsoever. Quite literally 0 rubbing.

Very happy since I wanted to go as aggressive as possible on a 19"

Surprised to not see many E92's running the SM10. Well, if Apex needs any volunteers....
