That was a serious question, the lol was simply my frustration. How can some1 with less boost, worse timing, trap 120 plus. Maybe the track I go to is slow.

Nobody has trapped over 120 with the tune/DCI/pump+meth and MT (prob not AT either) that I know of. Warren might have done it on a Vbox, but that doesn't count. Fully catless + FMIC can easily be good for 4-5 mph. Also, some of those other people might have had weight savings.
Your timing looks great in 4th. After seeing this, I'm probably gonna switch to a M10 nozzle. You have less weight than me, but that shouldn't account for ~4mph faster. The only difference is the nozzle size.

1 night before I ran a couple jb3 map 9 guys went and the mt car went 110-11 best, at went 112-113, both were on race gas. Mods were dci/dp for the 112-113 car. Conditions were alot colder than when I ran. I need to go to a real track I think. |

Also, the stock exhaust on the 135 is hopelessly restrictive. Only 1 muffler, not two like the 335. You're traps are already beyond what I would expect with your mods.

how have you found the factory 335i exhaust to flow once the secondary cats have been removed and catless downpipes have been installed?

Reasonably well it seems. I haven't done any controlled testing of it though. The only reason I know how bad the 135 single exhaust system is was from back in the day when we tuned our first one. Up top, It was 20-30whp down from all the 135s we tested with the same mods/tune. Made sense once I looked under the car.

boostedcosta ran 11.93@119 on 6MT JB3 18ohm board, k1s /w hoosiers, open ar dps, open intake... I was there that day when he did that and he posted the slip. He was running consistent 12.0 - 12.1 all day long too. I can imagine him being a solid 11.7 - 11.8 @ 120+ with meth installed. I ran a 12.96@112.6 on street tires that day with 24ohm JB3 Map 8, 93/104 mix, Map 8, DCI, DPs.
Donald's times? Well, no slip, no believe. I find it VERY hard to believe a 12.3@123 with no slip, no 60ft, no nothing.

Why does it need to be custom tuned to run full boost?
And again, Mike, we are talking about the stock 135 catback, not aftermarket 135 catbacks. That does not apply to the OP. Shiv |
