switch amber for clear headlights on ED?

I wonder, if one found someone in euro that wanted the beautiful USA amber headlamps, and was willing to swap with someone that had their car there on an ED, if that would violate some law? Could the USA dealer still deliver your car? Ditto for other cool stuff (M-sport package, e.g.)?

The car would most likely not pass through customs on its way in.
Especially nowadays, since 9/11 they REALLY scrutinize used cars that are coming into the U.S. from abroad.

Hmmmm....never thought of that one. Still a crapshoot.

Actually, I asked a few people whose cars were in for service about this when I was over in Munich, at the Niederlassung dealership.

They either looked at me funny, thought I was crazy, or flat out just ignored me & walked away.

I guess you could just buy the headlight units and take them home in your suitcase...and fit them at a later date?

I actually like the the amber in my headlights. But with alpine white I think it provides some needed color there. I think the car would look too aneamic with clear. IMO

They look good on TiAg, but I don't prefer them on most of the other colors.

amber is such a joykill.
Just glancing at a euro e90 and a US e90 the euro just look so much more cleaner. The amber takes away from the car.

While it seems most people except them Im not sure anyone would really opt for the ambers if they had a choice of clears at the snap of a finger.
