Progman 24 improvements
My car now has Progman 24.
I know what the fixes in Progman 24 are but I don't know what the improvements are (if any) similar to the improvements in Progman 22 with the disappearing liability screen and the new keypad for telephone. My sources haven't a clue on this - I thought perhaps someone here might have an inkling.

Hehe. Just screwin' with you. Yeah, I'm curious to know as well. Any font changes or anything of that sort? EDIT: I guess I'm whatever version came before Progman 22 considering I don't have the disappearing liability screen, well, unless I hit "Accept." Any idea what Progman version was installed on a March 31st 2006 production car? |

Quick, someone find E90fleet!!
I wish I could get the software updates. I'd love to get rid of that accept screen. It's too bad you have to have a problem in order for them to update your software.

I just had my car serviced and they had to completely reload all of my software. I noticed that the warning goes away (thank God) and the phone menu is different as stated above. Other than that, I haven't found anything else. I guess I am up to date now.

Korrekt. The only way you know is either by correlating your original build date with the then current version - or leaving the dealer knowing "I just got Progman 24"

Can someone please post a picture of what the new phone pad looks like (I have iDrive) or direct me to where it has already been posted? Thanks.

thanks, i will take a look when I have some time. Look like there is no chance of us changing anything in there since it looks as if it is for display only and not for modify.

Why is it Progman and not Program, German?

Definitely a few interface changes between Frogman, ahem, Progman 22.02 and 24 in the nav area. I have to really sit in the car NOT driving and look thru the screens.
Now the Japanrot 3er is off getting Progman 24 so we'll have matching sw for the cars.

When did they start installing Progman 24 on new builds? I know yours isn't a new build but some on this board have vehicles on order and will find it useful to know. |
