I went to the auto cargo tracking and enetered the full VIN# and there it was saying my car was booked (1/3/07) Arrived at port(7/3/07) and then loaded on vessel(8/3/07). That was all the info it had. it did have my destination port right, Halifax.

Finally got the status to return something besides an error. You have to remember the dates are Euro format, so in my case the cargo was booked March 1, received at the port terminal on March 7, and loaded on the ship March 8. Then you have to look up the schedule for the ship to see when it is due at the destination port.

That took quite awhile to show up on the web. The ship that I was hoping to be on left yesterday (late our time, early today their time). When did you get confirm and from who that you were actually "en route" with the verified ship info?

My CA told me. I think it was the day it sailed that he knew.

Now I'll be a pest....then how long after that, besides your auto cargo tracking info, did it update to "en route" either on the OC or the 800#?

It took several days - almost a week to change on the OC. The 800# also took several days. I think once it gets to the port, BMW loses track of it and it becomes the responsibility of the logistics of the port and shipping company.

Thanks for holding my hand while I wait to hear from my CA later today. Until I get confirm that it did/didn't make that ship, I feel like a soon to be father waiting for the new baby to be born. Reviewing your cargo tracking timeline, you got to the ship the day before she sailed and was loaded onboard the day she left. That gives me a sense (maybe a false one) of security that because I arrived at the port the same day as you, I should be on my expected voyage. This has got to be the most frustrating part of the entire process. As someone else said on the forums, so close yet so far.

Yeah, but it gets worse. The shipping companies post their schedules and once you know you're on one you can estimate its arrival at port with good accuracy. But when it gets to the VPC it goes into a black hole and not even your dealer can get information.

Your advantage is that it is going to the PC, and I'm sure they ensure that they are on time there!

That's what I'm waiting for. As soon as I know I'm on a boat, I can get a confirmed date for PCD. Until I get that date, all my plans for visiting down south are in limbo. I'll PM you the other part of my saga.

Asian chorus left of 7th and you are getting the tracking information on 12th .My car reached port on 10th, so I may be able to make on the ship on 12th but the cargo tracking will be available only on 17th,

.I am checking on the shipping website like 10 times a day to know which ship I am on .I think I need to call my ca.Thanks LED zep for the update .

Hey guys I'm on board!!! My vehicle will be unloaded in NY. My salesman said should be at the dealer on 28th or so but I noticed that it is a couple days behind schedule. Oh well, I need to sell my mustang before it gets here anyway. Just listed it on E-bay. Can't wait to get my 335i sedan!!!:rocks:

Cool! Don't hold your breath on the 28th though. I was hoping my car would be at the dealer by mid-week that week but the current schedule has the ship docking on Friday. I don't think the VPC runs on the weekends, so it gets to them on Monday... you see the picture.

Hope your guy is right, but might not happen. I'm personally figuring first week of April.

OC is so far behind, I wonder why they bother. Mine started production on 3/1, production complete 3/6 according to the 800 number. OC still says 'scheduled for production'.
