Upper shock mount perch damaged?

Heard that typical rear shock clunk that denotes a blown worn shock bushing Replaced both shocks and upper/ lower mounts. Went on a test drive and heard the clunking again. Had a couple of buddies push down on the rear to replicate suspension travel and sure enough same rear upper shock mount was clunking and physically moving despite being retorqued.
Is it uncommon for the actual body frame to be warped on an E92 335i?

no it's not common. You might've missed the hole with the bushing so "torqued" becomes loose when the bushing pops into the correct hole. Try checking torque again with the car on the ground. If still there then take the wheel off and verify the bushing went up into the hole correctly when installing the strut.
