Hello, I’m new in this forum and I recently bought a bmw, e90 320i. I have a problem with the aux cord as it doesn’t recognise any device when I plug them and it’s as if I didn’t plug anything. The aux option in the car is grey and I can’t press it. I tried with 3 different aux cables and it doesn’t change anything. I tried to find something in the forum but after 5 days of reading I haven’t found anything that helps me. Another thing is that while I was putting the aux cable in, I heard the speakers do that crunching noice.

Aux can come from different sources depending on the configuration
of the stereo and the options on the car.
Most of the time it will come from the Modules in the Trunk.

Find out what your car came with by using the Mdecoder.com

Check for modules in the trunk under the main trunk floor behing the seats.
(Read the first few links at least)
European configuration may be different than US configurations so you might
want to find relevant European Boards. There are system's in Europe
that we don't get in the US. No business Radio here no low end Nav/idrive.
