Should I consider anything other than a stock bumper replacement (E91 btw)?

Ouch! That's really kind of them to step up, do the right thing, and leave a note.

Perhaps the EU taillights? They look the same but have amber indicators.

That is quite the bump, it’s amazing that she left a note but there is probably video of it also. I would replace it with a Sport bumper if it was my car.

I worked in auto claims a million years ago out of college. Her insurance will pay for what's on the car, no more, no less. And they only owe you for the current used condition of the part, not new. For example, if the tire was damaged and needed to be replaced, and it was half way thru it's life, they owe for that, not a brand new tire. If a brand new tire is $200, they owe you $100.

If you want something different you will have to pay the extra for the part.

Also, they are liable to you, not anyone else, not a body shop, etc. They will pay you based on an appraisal. Whether or not you get the car fixed is up to you. I suggest you do get it fixed, especially with rear end damage. There is always more damage behind the bumper they miss in the appraisal. My GFs car was bumped a few weeks ago in the rear. Insurance appraised it at $1000. It went in the shop on Monday. So far, with hidden damage, it's up to $3700. Had she taken the $1000 and not had it repaired she'd lost out on that money.

Just picked up a front wheel that needed to be refinished/powder coated. Quick turnaround of only 1 day. Cost $240.

Wheel got curbed and I didn't do it but couldn't prove who did. My mobile wheel repair guy fixed the damage but, when he was doing the work, the clear coat started to peel (with some paint attached) and he wouldn't charge me for the work he did! Saved me $100 on the wheel repair.

Just before the front wheel was repaired/refinished/poweder coated, I bought 2 new tires for both front wheels ($470) and had them installed ($80 more). Previously bought installed 2 new tires for the rear. Michelin Pilot Super Sports all around.

I love Blackstone, use them every time I purchase a used boat. Reprint looks ok to me. Email/call them if you are concerned though.

I cut the black tabs off my switch/button so my rear fog lights are operational.

My e90 even had the internal piece in the switch so I didn't even have to buy anything...yippie

Nice little starter replacement. Just took a dump without warning. Luckily the tow to my house was only a few miles.

Mickey Mouse coolant flange replacement time. The old one crumbled on removal. I used a rag and some clamps to close down the coolant hose to keep the debris out of the water pump.

To seat the new tight fitting aluminum flange I greased the O ring and put the flange in the freezer for 30 minutes. Then I started each of the two 10mm bolts a bit. Finally, I placed a hammer handle on the lower flange lip and the hit the other end of that hammer with another hammer. The new flange popped right in.

I only drained about 2 quarts of coolant by using another members method of starting the engine and running the small coolant return hose into a container. After about a minute I had my 2 quarts drained easily. Then nothing spilled out when pulling the flange and hose. Peace of mind on that front now..

That's a vast improvement. I don't care for thingymabobs, but if I had one I'd do this to it.

Why anyone thought it was a good idea to put the tank behind the wing is anyone's guess.
If you're careful and lucky not to lose the pins you can drive the center out of those 3 plastic rivets and reuse them. Push them out with a small punch then look for them after you get the liner out.

He was done in 20 minutes. Sometimes it's worth taking your junk somewhere. Exhaust work is about the only thing I don't do.
I sliced into the exhaust on the 330 trying to take the flange off, had to pay the local shop $20 to fix the gash, but that involved dragging it there in my truck bed. I'm thinking on how I'm gonna get the much worse looking exhaust on the 325 down in the near future, I'm leaning towards your solution, just take it to someone who does that for a living and gojo my hands of it.

The pins usually fall behind the side skirt.
So look there.

That's at 120k. Amazing how fast the new Bosch starter is. The water bottle is just for the fuel line. It's on my e60 N52 which has an additional part that holds the intake manifold on, so unlike my e91, I had to remove it.

I'll say the same. The Bosch starter sounds like a F1 car starting up compared to the PE. At 190k.

Had my gfs grandma sew on the steering wheel cover, didn't enjoy it when I did my last one lol. Forgot to put the double stick tape prior so it was moving around quite a bit. My fix? Spreading the seam and injecting it with loctite shoe glue. Twisted it around a little to help spread it and now just gotta let it set for a couple days. I ran out of the tube I had, theres still a couple spots on the back spokes that are a little loose. The wheel underneath was shot anyway so I don't plan on taking it off. Other than that, conditioned it while I'm waiting.

I'll make a post with pics after install
