All this aside, I hope you are good to go for mfest. If anything tell them about it and demand they give you an M3 to bring!! Hope its something that can be fixed. Seems like that thing has been in the shop alot. |

I am definitely worried about Mfest! This is the first time in ten years that anybody has god my dad to leave his city. So, I really want this trip to happen. I was all siked up. Even if they give me a loaner to drive it wont be the same. (Unless its an M3, maybe )

So far I have had 4 or 5 HPFP and sensor replacements, 2 emission leaks and DTML replacements, 2 oil sensor replacements, probably 10 quarts of extra oil, an entirely new clutch due to a warped pressure plate, 3 or 4 fuel injector replacements, and 2 or 3 completely new software reloads. I think there is some other stuff that I am missing but you get the jist.

The car is going to Schomp in the morning. I probably wont get it back till saturday or early next week because service is closed on Fridays. I am just waiting for the BMWNA rep to get back to me now. I am going to try and talk to the big Schomp manager and see if they will give me something nice to drive for Mfest. But they are crazy if they think that I am just going to take anything to Mfest like an X5, or 328. I want an M! Or at least maybe a new Z, maybe.

Good luck trying to get an M. I don't think they have those as loaners. Maybe a Z but do would you really want to drive a little 2 seater 700+ hundred miles?

Wow Sid that totally blows man. Id be asking for a buyback and a free new car because you have probably nearly had that car in the shop half the time of its ownership and if they dont give it you then they just lost your business. They should also know the trip you had planned and give you a comparable loaner, no questions asked. Its their fault its not fixed, not yours.
I hope something gets worked out so you can still go. That just blows man. They better realize that word of mouth and the internet is easy to turn business away these days to a place/brand with better service. Hope they do the right thing for you. |

Jesus Sid, I had no idea you had that many issues with your car. I would say go with the buy back at this point. You have everything out of the car right? DO NOT take it in with any engine mods installed. Might even want to take the V1 hardwire out at this point (or at least tuck it away) if you think this service trip will lead to a buy back. Don't give them any reason to give you hassle for mods.
Also, make sure they understand if you get a loaner that you will be putting some major miles on it so they don't give you hassle when you bring it back with those miles. |

Wish I had my Jerry cans. How much would 40 litres of 100 octane cost?

That's not too bad (was $5.999/gallon today) so 40 litres should be $64. Still not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but comparable to 100 octane in Koblenz last summer it's cheap.
