Thats like lending some one your underwear! I have to see if I can find my motorcycle helmet and see if it still fits me. 13's or bust! Anyone tuned that doesn't run 13's is buying everyone drinks! If Racey can do it with JB1 and Matt with SSTT, there no excuse for the V4/JB guys to not run a 13 second run.

LOL, you will be in the 13's Vincent. Just depends on how low and if you can get some traction on those tires I'm thinking we could see a high 12. That would be awesome.

BTW, I plan on having my gopro HD camera with me so if anyone wants some video of themselves going down the track, bring your own SDHC card so you can save your video.

Well I have a helmet now so I better run 13's. Although, my car has REALLY been acting up. I am getting it back from Schomp today so we will see. They had to call in some special BMW engineers to look at my car. Anyway, they are reloading my ECU with all new software so we will see what happens.

So, what time is everybody going to head up there?

No, I'm sure that'll be me with my crappy Dinan tune. I've never broken into the 13s.

Sorry Matt, missed this post somehow. Yeah, we should swap cars and see how we do. I'd love to know if my crappy driving is to blame. If it's too cold, the launch is always a bitch. I could swear that when it's warmer, I can feel the power drop off in the higher RPMs.

I think I'll just meet you guys at Bandimere at about 9 instead of at the gas station. I don't think the higher octane makes any difference with Dinan.

I think that even with the Dinan tune, the race gas would make a difference.

I think last time, I made a run on a near-empty tank of pump gas and then mixed in a gallon of the 110 or whatever they sell at Bandimere. I don't remember there being any significant difference either way. In fact, it was one of those warmer days and on every run I felt it hesitating a bit in the higher RPMs.

Does anyone know for a fact if Dinan is supposed to make more power with higher octane?

Nah, I don't think it makes any difference at all on most stock cars. Not for anything over 91-92, anyway.

110 octane? Wow, that's leaded gas which can be really bad for your cats. You can buy 100 octane at this gas station. It's been a long time since I've gotten gas there. I would not recommend 110 octane for all you guys that have catalytic converters!

No, 110 leaded is bad news for those that are catted...may also not play well with the direct injection. Was just wondering if it was VP109 or not.

Racey, I just verified. They carry Sunoco Racing Fuels and you can pump 100 octane from the pumps. They also carry 98-116 but you have to buy them is barrels.
